Frequently Asked Questions

While the discord always has a request channel, some requests prove to be too cumbersome to fulfill. Specifically, Xemu, Cemu, RCPS3, Vita3K, and Yuzu are all either very difficult or impossible to port under the developer mode restrictions. This does not mean that requests for other open source projects to be ported are not welcome, we encourage you to join the discord and post in #request for any projects you would like to see ported. It is heavily encoraged to post a open source link to the project you're refering to as well.

You can always head over to the official store discord and make a support thread in #support. Please keep all your technical support questions to #support, it allows your issue to get the most attention and help that it can.

Homebrew/emulators for Retail Mode app are no longer possible! Dev Mode is required to install the apps. 

There is no way to download homebrew/emulators outside of Dev Mode on the Xbox. You cannot upload it to retail mode, nor should you ask someone to add your account to their license.

These will need to be obtained using your own copy of the game or app. Due to Copyright laws we are not allowed to provide these resources.

If you have a smartphone, then you can follow the same steps in the Dev Mode Guide just using your device instead of a PC.

Note: You cannot follow the USB setup instructions as a Windows capable PC is required.

Video guides/tutorials are all over YouTube, but for the best guides, we recommend Archades Games and ReviveMe.

Certain apps do not work on the Xbox One currently due to technical limitations; these apps will have a disclaimer stating they do not work on Xbox One on the Dev Store homepage.
